PackMate Privacy Policy

PackMate is a shared packing checklist app for trips, camping, and group travel.

Information We Collect

• Account profile information from Apple or Google sign-in, such as display name, email address, and provider identifier.
• Trip information you create, including trip names, dates, invite codes, members, packing items, notes, quantities, and item claims.
• Optional profile settings, such as nickname and a compressed profile photo.
• Device tokens if push notifications are enabled.
• Crash and basic analytics data used to improve app reliability.

How We Use Information

We use this information to sign you in, sync shared trip lists, show who claimed each item, support invite-code joining, maintain profile settings, send app notifications when enabled, and improve stability.

Sharing

Trip members can see shared trip data, member names, item notes, and item claims within trips they belong to. We do not sell personal information.

Storage and Security

PackMate uses Firebase services including Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, Analytics, and App Check. Firestore security rules restrict access to trip members and each user's own profile data.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account in the Account tab. Trips you own are deleted, and your claims are removed from shared trips.

Children

PackMate is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date will be updated when material changes are made.
